Workshops
do you provide garments for the workshops?
No, registration prices do not include any merchandise for you to print on. However, you can bring whatever merchandise you would like to design.
We also offer garment upgrades, where you can purchase blank merchandise from us to print on! (Note: we recommend ordering our garments at least one business day before your workshop date to guarantee availability.)
what type of garments should i bring to the workshop?
All apparel is welcomed new or used. This is the opportunity to let your creative energy flow! items to consider: Denim jeans and jackets, blank t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, varsity jackets, windbreakers, coats, vests, trucker caps, thrifted merchandise.
how many items can i bring to my workshop session?
You are able to bring as many items to create as you like during your workshop session! We recommend larger projects 12+ items for more experienced designers. Beginners should start with 1-3 items, depending on the complexity of your design.
how long does each workshop last?
2-3 Hours depending on the difficulty of the design you select.
do i need a designer assistant ticket?
Maker Lab visitors age 3+ require a ticket for entry. Designer assistant is a ticket option for visitors who do not want to customize their own merch but assist someone else in their party with the creation of theirs. This is also an option for visitors with young children, this permits your entry into the class to serve as additional support in the creation process!
CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINK?
The Maker Lab experience is BYOB! You are able to supply your own beverage of choice. Food is allowed into the space, but we allow no eating within the designated workstations to prevent any spills, equipment mishaps, etc.

Location & Parking
The main entry to the workshop is located in a warehouse space. It is on the same level as the sidewalk, located at 6055 S. Wentworth Ave. Chicago IL, 60615. There is plenty of free street parking available
MOBILITY/ACCESS
Wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters are all permitted. Please note, we currently do not have any mobility aids available for rent onsite. The design studio is located on the first floor.
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are available and located on the 1st floor.

WHERE ARE MY TICKETS?
If you have purchased tickets to the Maker Lab directly through our website, but have not yet received your tickets via email, your order might have a typo in the email entry. Please use our “contact us” form above to have this rectified.

refunds
All Maker Lab ticket sales are final and non-refundable. You are encouraged to arrive up to 15 minutes before your ticketed time slot to ensure entry. If you are late for your time slot, your ticket is no longer valid, and entry is not guaranteed. The tickets have a 15-minute grace period. Your ticket is only valid on the date of the ticket. Please confirm your ticket date while purchasing.
can i reschedule?
All Maker Lab ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you have a conflict in schedule please send a reschedule request to support@themkrab.com. A team member will review your request within 24-48 hrs.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM/ MAXIMUM HEADCOUNT NEEDED FOR A PRIVATE PARTY?
The minimum headcount required for a private booking is one participant. This would be categorized as a 1:1 session. The maximum is 30 participants at our warehouse location. For off-site bookings, headcount may vary depending on requested location.
CAN WE BRING FOOD?
Yes! Workshops can be long! For parties we encourage guest to bring easy finger foods such as wings, wraps, pizza, etc. Feel free to bring your own, or hire a team. We will work with you for easy set up and discard.
